Giving a Voice to the Backseat

Ontario children will soon breathe easier. The provincial government recently confirmed that the law banning smoking in vehicles with children under the age of 16 will come into effect on “Weedless Wednesday”, January 21, 2009 during National Non-Smoking Week.
With support and funding from the Ontario government, The Ontario Lung Association will lead the development and execution of a public education campaign to inform Ontarians about the health dangers associated with smoking in vehicles when children are present.
