Question & Answer
Q: I really don't like taking my puffers in front of people. What can I do?
A:
Daily controller medicines are usually only taken at home in the morning and at night. If your asthma is out of control, you may need to take a controller medicine during the day. If thats the case, take it in the washroom, then rinse out your mouth after. Reliever medicines (usually blue) are often only needed either before exercising or occasionally when you are having asthma symptoms. This kind of inhaler is more likely to be needed at school, but not often.
Some people won't understand asthma and the medicines needed, but it's nothing to be embarrassed about. Many sports stars and celebrities also have asthma and need their inhalers too.
