Question & Answer
Q: I love my cat! Why do I have to find it a new home?
A: Pets are part of the family. Unfortunately, if you are allergic to a pet, the best thing to do is to find it a new home. Every breath you take in a home with a pet is filled with pet allergens, which can mean more asthma symptoms and higher doses of medicines. If you can't find a new home for your pet, there are some steps that can help. If you have brothers or sisters who arent allergic to the pet and want to keep it, make sure your doctor or parents explain why your pet needs a new home. Breathing properly and healthy lungs are MUCH more important than a pet.
